Our Differences

Entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneurship Report Card aims to equip OSTİM Technical University students with an entrepreneurial mindset, knowledge, and skills. The Entrepreneurship Report Card program is entirely voluntary, but participation is encouraged for all students. This will enable students to pursue their education not just with the goal of becoming an employee of an organization, but with the aim of starting their own business. An employee with the self-confidence to start their own business will be more beneficial regardless of the organization they work for.

Innovation

The Information Security program includes innovative programs designed to help students easily adapt to university life, offering various activities in addition to their academic studies, and contributing to their goals and personal development. These programs aim to foster active participation from students, cultivate intellectual curiosity, cultural sensitivity, and a sense of responsibility, and instill entrepreneurial qualities such as innovation, implementation, commercialization, and company formation. Courses such as "Introduction to University Life," "Building the Future," and "Entrepreneurship Project" are also offered.

Workplace Experience

OSTİM Technical University was established within the OSTİM structure, a trade center that has made significant contributions to Turkey's manufacturing sector. This experience in manufacturing is intended to be transferred to students from the very first day of the academic year. Therefore, an innovative and effective teaching model, known as applied education, is employed, spanning from the second to the final semester, accelerating students' active learning processes.

This training model, which will be conducted one full day a week with partner companies in the second semester and thereafter, will be implemented as a full semester in the final semester. In this way, students will be able to effectively combine the theoretical knowledge they acquire with the practical knowledge they gain through workplace applications before graduation, ensuring they become competent technical personnel in their field. Furthermore, it is envisioned that students' problem-solving skills will be enhanced from day one through their work and observations in a business environment starting from their first year.

Solution Orientation

The training will be conducted with a solution-oriented approach, thanks to workplace experience that allows participants to observe the problems of the manufacturing industry firsthand and become part of the solution. Based on this knowledge, they will acquire the skills of a technical professional who aims to solve or improve problems in production processes. This approach will be emphasized not only in workplace training but also in the academic education process. This will ensure an effective and results-oriented training infrastructure.

Our Country's Contribution Goals

This program aims to train technical personnel who are proficient in current production technologies in the fields needed by the country. This will enable them to contribute to high value-added production processes within the country. Furthermore, the knowledge and skills they acquire will allow them to contribute to the development of original projects, ideas, and products. Through courses such as entrepreneurship projects that they will learn during their training, they will contribute to the improvement of existing production processes.

Our main objectives are to generate knowledge through high-quality scientific research in priority areas and to transfer this knowledge to our students, production sectors, and other segments of society, thereby developing original solutions to various problems; to contribute to national and regional development by producing original projects, ideas, and products in our field; to produce solutions to social problems in cooperation with different segments of society; to contribute to the social life of society through social responsibility projects, cultural/artistic and sporting events; to contribute to the production of high added value and the increase in competitiveness of our country's industry in cooperation with public institutions/organizations and civil society organizations; and to enrich the principles and models of education and training in our country and in the world with innovative and creative approaches.
